Ointments & Creams
5-20 drops in a 50g jar or tub of cream base.
Using a cream base preferably made from cold-pressed vegetable oil, stir in your chosen oils and apply topically.
3-5 drops in a 600ml bowl of water.
Add essential oils to a bowl of either hot or cold water. Place a cloth into the water and wring out. Apply to affected area for 5 minutes. Repeat 2-4 times.
2-3 drops in a 600ml bowl of water.
Add essential oil to a bowl of boiled water. Being careful not to get too close to the steam when you first pour in the water as it will burn the skin. Drape a towel over the head and breathe in the steam for 1-2 minutes only. Repeat 2-4 times.
4-6 drops (adult);
3-5 drops (13-16yrs);
2-4 drops (10-12yrs);
1-3 drops (7-9yrs);
1-2 drops (4-6yrs);
1 drop (under 3yrs).
Add essential oils to a teaspoon of base oil (eg. Almond, Olive, Jojoba…), then add to a very warm bath, vigorously stirring in the drops to ensure full and safe dispersal. Allow time for a good relaxing soak by candlelight…. mmmm….
10-20 drops in a burner or dish, 30-200 drops in a nebuliser.
Add essential oils to a burner (containing water), or a dish of water that can be safely warmed. Or use an electric nebuliser (without water)
Please note: that Essential Oils blended with Jojoba do not burn as well in candle vaporisers (unless they are very well heated). The water in the candle vaporiser needs to be quite hot and the newer open style burners just don’t heat the water/oil up enough, so if you are purchasing a new vaporiser make sure you get an enclosed one.
We recommend electric diffuser that uses ultrasonic waves to diffuse the water with essential oils into tiny molecules, producing an elegant mist, releasing the essential oils in their 100% purest form and enhancing the effect of aromatherapy.
5-10 drops to 100ml of water.
Fill the bottle with spring water and add essential oils. Replace mist’s lid and shake vigorously before each spray.
After the wax of the candle has melted blow the candle out and drop a few drops of essential oils into the melted wax, stir in the oils with an unlit match, wait for a few minutes till the wax starts to reset then carefully relight it. As the candle draws the oil up into it’s wick, the smell essential oils will be released. Do not put essential oils on the wick as it will probably start a fire. Never leave your candle burning unattended. Always trim your wick to ½cm and never burn for more than four hours at a time (otherwise the container may crack from the accumulated heat).
Be VERY careful to avoid the naked flame as essential oils are flammable and you could burn yourself or set the bottle of oil alight.
