Legend: Frankincense has been used since ancient times in religious ceremonies and is still used in many churches today. It was so highly sought after if was one of the three gifts with Myrrh and Gold that the Magi presented to the baby Jesus. Frankincense trees are very slow growing; the essential oil is distilled from the globules of pale yellow resin that dry like tears after one of the tree’s limbs have been cut.
Heal your body: Useful in bronchitis and asthma especially when associated with nervous tension. May also be useful for both sinusitis and laryngitis. Has a helpful action on genitourinary tract and may mitigate the effects of cystitis and genital infections generally. As a general tonic to the uterus it may relieve uterine hemorrhages as well as heavy periods. Said to be of value during labour and its calming action could ease post natal depression. May help balance oily skin conditions.
